Acuver Consulting is looking for proficient IBM Sterling OMS Managing Consultant between 8 to 15 years relevant work experience for our OMS Practice

In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in executing business requirements into specific systems and applications, leading the design and implementation of highly scalable and performance-intensive order management solutions for major clients. You will showcase in-depth technical and functional expertise, building confidence at client sites and contributing across all project phases.

What you’ll do:

  • Hands-on Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the detailed design, development, and implementation of complex IBM Sterling OMS solutions, including customizations, extensions, and integrations. Ensure solutions meet high standards for scalability, reliability, and performance in B2C/B2B e-commerce environments.
  • Technical Project Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, overseeing development activities, ensuring adherence to design principles, and contributing hands-on from conceptualization to production implementation and support.
  • Client Technical Advisory: Serve as a trusted technical advisor to client teams and middle management, translating business needs into specific system requirements and robust technical solutions within defined architectures.
  • Problem Solving & Optimization: Analyze and optimize database and core commerce functions for maximum performance. Provide expert support in troubleshooting and investigating complex issues pertaining to order management systems.
  • Team Mentorship & Quality Assurance: Train and guide new team members on Sterling technical and business concepts. Ensure the implementation of unit tests and advocate for best practices in code quality and development methodologies.

What you’ll need:

  • In-depth IBM Sterling OMS Expertise: 8-15 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling OMS (v10.0+ or OMOC), including extensive experience in customization, extension (Pipelines, APIs, User Exits, Services), configuration, and deployment.
  • Proven Technical Delivery: Demonstrated track record of successfully designing and implementing highly scalable and performance-intensive OMS solutions for large-scale retail B2C/B2B web applications.
  • Strong Technical Proficiency: Hands-on knowledge of ATP & GIV. Experience with version control management (SVN, CVS, GIT). Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Ability to build robust unit tests.
  • Business & Domain Understanding: Solid understanding of e-commerce business needs, order flows, and supply chain logistics systems. Ability to assess product capability and suggest appropriate solutions.
  • Effective Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and work effectively in a team environment and with client stakeholders.

Bonus points:

  • Advanced IBM Sterling Modules: Experience with IBM Web Store, IBM Call Centre, SBC, SST, Inventory Visibility (IV), and Jasper Reports.
  • Modern Backend & Database Skills: Hands-on experience building services using backend technologies (Java, Spring, Node.js, etc.) and database technologies (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB).
  • Front-end Technologies: Hands-on experience with front-end technologies like Angular.
  • Cloud Familiarity: Knowledge of cloud-based Sterling OMS deployments.
